24 hours later - the swarm, captured on Wednesday, swarmed again and made a temporary cluster close to where it clustered on Wednesday. Is this actually a 'swarm'? The f word buzzed about the apiary and allotment site as I considered what to do about this anarchist collective of workers, drones (and the mother bee) that seemed intent on defying the lockdown and ignoring social distancing. I wondered if I had failed to get the queen ('the mother') into the swarm box on Wednesday and if the bees had found 'it' again if 'it' had remained in the vicinity overnight?
Some footage of the swarm being collected for a second time - it all looks very cooperative to me.
