 Daffodils emerging in Plot B

Maintenance of the water-course (fed in part by a mains leak?) that runs from
the top corner of Plot B to (the) Main Pond.

Winter pruning - apple tree (No. 9 - B top)
The tree was neglected (unpruned) for a long time and got very large. The tree is on the north side of
Plot B and so shades Plot A.
More recent winter pruning has seen the tree produce a lot of water shoots.

I may have made a mistake leaving the pruning of the water shoots until the winter rather than late summer - and also not pruning the water shoots close enough to the main branches.

I think the tree is a tip and spur fruiter however the routine pruning will be focussed on the spurs/spur formation.

Removal of a large branch from the centre of the tree.

Other tasks for the day included setting up a new wormery and topping up all the bird feeders.
